Discipline is the basis of the whole Universe. The Planets are governed by a set of rules. The human society is regulated by a certain code of conduct. Discipline is the hall mark of civilization. The strength of a nation is built on the discipline of its citizens. Discipline can be defined as a kind of self-imposed restraint. Students should be trained to transform themselves into balanced adults. Only then, they can give their best to the country. Discipline is a training that produces obedience. The rising crime graph in India can be attributed to the lack of discipline. Disregard to discipline is leading to the decline in work culture. Moral and spiritual education will surely promote discipline. The issue of discipline should be addressed by schools in a broader perspective. It is because discipline is essential for personal growth and national prosperity. Every student and individuals should follow a personal code of ethics. No battle can be won by a set of in-disciplined soldiers. A team can be victorious only when the players act as single unit by obeying their Captain.
