The Koona Presidency Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Vellore, founded in June 2006, was inaugurated by the then Vellore Collector Mr Dharmendra Pratap Yadav and had then been elevated to the status of Higher Secondary School during 2011-2012. The united efforts of teachers and students had resulted in obtaining maximum percent passes in 10th and 12th Public Exams.
The school has created many facilities for students’ progress. Students from an early grade are exposed to Computer Training to help them to cope with the changing times. Sports activities are encouraged to make students to develop a healthy body to maintain a healthy mind. To educate hygienic food habits, nutrition programmes are conducted during regular class hours. To facilitate practical training, Labs on the campus are fully equipped and Computer Labs have a maximum number of systems. The Library has a rich collection of books for the benefit of staff and students. The other important amenities are Audio-Visual Room, Prayer Halls separately for Boys and Girls and school buses on all major routes.
While imparting secular education, the school has facilitated spiritual learning by making Deeniyath classes for all Muslim students. The school has appointed qualified teachers to handle by imparting Deeniyath classes in the larger interest of students.
